THE “MAX 7” CODE OF CONDUCT

The “MAX 7” Code of Conduct is the foundation of our football program here at Wisner – Pilger. To be a football player at Wisner – Pilger you must live by these 7 principles! These are not just principles for football, they are principles for life! A “MAX 7” man is a GATOR man. This truly is –

“The Gator Way”

Maximum – (mak’ se’ mem) n., pl.

The greatest quantity, number, or degree possible.

The highest degree or point reached or recorded.

Greatest possible, permissible or reached.

Maximum Character (The pattern or behavior or personality found in an individual or group; moral constitution. Moral strength, self discipline, and fortitude.) – The character of our players and coaches shall always be kept in high regard. We will be held to high standards of character. We will pursue a positive environment in the locker room, classroom, practice field, and on game night. We will weather all storms with perseverance and dedication. We will be disciplined sportsmen in practice and in competition.

Maximum Effort (The using of energy to get something done; exertion of strength or mental power. To try hard.) – 100% effort at all times from all people associated with Wisner – Pilger football. We will expect intense competition from the moment we begin stretching to the final wind sprint.

Maximum Fundamentals (A principle, theory, law, etc. serving as a basis; an essential part.) The basis of the game of football has always been the team that blocks the best and tackles the best will win! We believe in this wholeheartedly and will make every attempt to become as strong and as skilled as we can in every area. If we are as fundamentally sound as we can be, we will compete very well on a consistent basis.

Maximum Teamwork (Joint action by a group of people, in which individual interests are subordinated to group unity and efficiency; coordinated effort.) We will work together, we will compete together, we will win together. One heartbeat.

Maximum Team Unity (The quality of being one in spirit, sentiment, purpose, etc.) This goes beyond teamwork. We want a unified program off the field. This is done to develop the family atmosphere that is so important to successful programs. Teammates on the field, a band of brothers off the field.

Maximum Pride (Proper respect for ones self; sense of one’s own dignity or worth; self respect.) We are proud to be GATORS. It’s not for everyone. A select few wear the uniform of the Wisner – Pilger Gators!

Maximum Spirit (Vivacity, courage, vigor, enthusiasm) We want to be a part of a athletic department that entails Wisner – Pilger High Spirit. To encourage the student body to have MAXIMUM PRIDE in THEIR GATORS!
